Johnny + elizabeth enlow - LIGHT GIVERS

I’m honestly unsure specifically how or when I first ran across Johnny + Elizabeth Enlow… well, I guess I should back up some first.

I first met Elizabeth when I was a child. A dear neighbor friend attended a private Christian school. I attended a public school. My neighborhood friend would have her school friends over to visit & play, and sometimes I would get to meet those friends. One of those visiting friends was Elizabeth. We were probably in elementary school when I met her for the first time. She was wearing a beautiful bright blue & white checkered dress dress & was wearing glasses. I also remember she had a lot of joy! It is interesting what memories stay with you.

She and this dear neighborhood childhood friend of mine & I also ended up attending college at Auburn University… along with a number of other schoolmates both from their private school & my public school, all from the neighboring state of Georgia, not Alabama. We were also in a Bible Study together lead by a woman named Debbie. But, outside the Bible Study, I didn’t see them much, as I was busy in my own world of art and most of my time was spent with other art students at the art building. After graduation I would get updates on Elizabeth from my childhood neighborhood friend and other mutual friends throughout our twenties. Of this group of friends who were at Auburn during those years, many are in ministry, including Elizabeth & her husband Johnny.

When hearing Johnny speak for the first time, probably in 2021, it was a breath of fresh air! Of all the different types of churches I have attended over the years (Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, Non-denominational) and the many messages I have heard & intently listened to over decades, Johnny’s study of scriptures seems the most encompassing. Though I have heard some criticize him for not speaking as much about some of the common messages that our traditional American Christian church culture tends to really lean into (ie: “Jesus, Come quickly”… & similarly related), I feel his deep-digs into The Bible reveal important truths typically skipped over or ignored. I’m so grateful for clearly communicated messages from his thoughtful, thorough studies. Of course, yes, we are responsible to primarily read The Bible ourselves, praying for God to reveal truth to us directly. However, the insights Johnny provides from the Bible are amazing ‘ah ha’ moments over & over again.

In addition to a Christian Light-Giver, he is also a Patriot Truth-Teller! In his posts, broadcasts and books Johnny also weighs in on things happening in our world, applying a solid Biblical perspective. I would encourage you to locate him and tune in when you can.
