Derek Johnson is a retired Army Veteran who boldly & confidently explains the detailed, enlightening information found on .mil and .gov websites. He is the inspiration for the name of this website and the phrase “The Dash Matters”. He communicates “The Dash Matters” on most if not all of this posts & videos explaining Laws & Orders and Continuity of Operations. If you are not familiar with Derek, I would encourage you to connect & tune in! You’ll learn so much. Bonus, he is a charming & funny (& sometimes a bit intense in his delivery) southern guy who can easily keep your interest in the teaching & learning of it all. After the last 4 years of so much digging, research, reading, listening & learning from many sources, Derek’s repetitive “The Dash Matters” talk ties everything together well & has helped keep me calm.
